My Journey to Dragonfly Sound

Sean Scallion,
Audio Engineer
"I've been obsessed with sound since I can remember. Music has been an integral part of my life and has seen me through both the dark and light times. When the idea of becoming a recording engineer came about, it only made sense to follow it immediately. I went to Trebas Institute of Recording Arts in 1998, and immediately following graduation, went to work at https://www.greenhouserecording.com/ as an assistant engineer. After working on many high profile albums, I went to work on developing my own music. With a several tours across Canada with different bands, and several albums later, I decided it was time to come back to my first love; recording and developing other artists with their music. Dragonfly Sound has been developing in my mind much earlier than its conception. Now it's a reality. It's time to live my dream."
Sean Scallion has over 30 years of experience playing music and touring across Canada. He also graduated audio engineering school in 1999 and has been recording music in both the east and west coasts ever since. This has enabled many connections with artists all over Canada. Sean uses a hybrid of analog and digital recording interfaces and tailors his approach to the artists sound.
Sean has extensive experience doing custom audio visual installation work on both residential and commercial applications, as well as experienced in live sound production.
